In the last few years, what have been the most significant developments in how individuals use the internet?


Introduction: 
- Internet in the past, internet was used for business reasons, for example sharing business ideas, emailing clients etc.
- Discuss how it has changed over the years, for example becoming more socialized and entertainment reasons.

Paragraph One: 
- Google is the main website that has been set up over the past few years. It gives people endless opportunities and there is a huge variety of reasons to use Google. For example, business, socializing, shopping, directions, translations, booking tickets, and the list goes on.
- A worldwide search engine that is used on a daily basis, and when people say 'Google it' everyone knows what you mean.
- Google has developed over the last fews years, it's now google translate, google maps, g-mail etc, therefore there is no need for individuals to use another search engine.
- People have become lazy when it comes to research etc. Instead of going to the library and reading books, people will just google it.

Paragraph Two:
- Youtube is also a massive development.

Voyeurism:

When filming, we used close ups of Heidi's face, hands, feet etc to use voyeuristic objectification which is typical of music videos with females in. This differs from when we created our thrillers because we weren't thinking about making the person in front of the camera look attractive because of the genre. Also in our music video, Heidi is the centre of attention and is in every shot, whereas in our thrillers and children's film, their are plenty of characters and more than one to look at. 

Selling The Artist:

Our artist is given a lot of screen time in the music video, to make the audience familiar with her face so they can remember her and she becomes easy to recognize when making another video. She is being portrayed as a pure and innocent character in the video which makes her easily likable. Also the artist is showing more than one skill by playing the piano while singing. This shows that she is multi-talented and the audience might be more interested in her as she portrayed as a real musician.

Lyrics/Visuals:

As the song is based on nature, we used settings where the artist was surrounded by nature so that when she referred to water in the lyrics she was then by a river so it all made sense. Also, in the lyrics she mentions being all alone so the visual at that point is the artist all alone, with big buildings towering over her making her look small and vulnerable. In another section, the lyrics say 'the heavy weight of stone' and as the artist sang this, she slowly dropped her head to make it look heavy.

Music/Visuals:

The mood of the song is serious and expressive therefore the artist showed this in her facial expressions.
