how has your use of digital technology developed over the last two year and affected the outcome of your products?

we used a variety of digital technologies in our 3 products on apple computers
childrens film
thriller
and music video

in our childrens film
we researched our ideas using safari on google
 we filmed our product with HD cameras
edited on final cut using basic editing skills, eg fades
added music and non diegetic sounds on garage band
and uploaded the results on blogger
we did all this on a very basic level as we were unfamiliar with the softwares.

when we filmed our thriller we were more open to experimentation
we researched more thoroughly on sites other than wikipedia such as Imdb
we used the Hd camera to capture the footage but also used a camera to take stills
we learnt to take screen grabs
in final cut we learnt to modify the speed in the film and add transitions
in garage band we learnt to synch up sounds with imagery
we explored on photoshop and added out title cards and filters
we added all this onto blogger with more detailed accounts

our final product was a music video
we captured the footage on HD video camera and took stills using the camera
we researched a lot of artist of the same genre from youtube
we got in contact with artist on facebook telling him about our ideas
we were more confident to explore the possibilities of final cut, examples being selecting key colours to remain in a black and white picture, using reverse footage, stylish transitions ,multiple screens and to edit our commentary
we didnt use garage band at all as we had the song from before
we used photoshop to create our magazine advert and the interior and exterior of the DVD cover
we uploaded all this information along with videos, pictures links onto blogger.

Overall our music video was the most successful product as we were more confident with how to use the different digital technologies.
