- Voyerism = The visual enjoyment
- Selling the artist = the way the artist is seen, e.g Designers, personality etc.
- Lyrics/Visuals = Lyrics that are seen in the visuals. Relating the lyrics in the song to the visuals.
- Music/Visuals = When the beat matches the visuals e.g. when the scene changes at the chorus.
- Intertextuality = How the music video copies other ones, e.g. We copied the visual chorus cards from Bob Bylan.
- Genre = How the genre is shown through the music video.
1. Voyeurism - Always a male artist singing the song. Band shown as well (voyeurism to those interested in music and instruments)
2. Selling the artist - Close ups, Always the one on screen (when with the band, main artist wears a different colour) Quirky character.

3. Lyrics/Visuals - Ski cap and Vest, "Came off my shoe", Table at a coffee shop, LA LA LA cards, Lyrics on screen,
4. Music/Visuals - End of song the visuals switch scene with the beat. "Do, do, do" briarly, scene changes when its the chorus and bridge.5. Intertextuality - Red hot chilli peppers, Bob Dylan.
6. Genre - Indie/rock therefore main artists personality fits with this genre. His overall image helps portray the genre.
In comparison to other theorists, such as Robert Stam, states how our music video can meet certain conventions. He says that the genre can be defined through the performer. As the main artist in our video is quirky and dressed to fit the genre of indie/rock we believe we meet his conventions of this. This theory allowed us to become more advanced in relation to portraying the artist through the genre of indie rock as it made us think we needed to show the audience directly what our character is like.
